Get Oscar Ready: Style at Home

For those of us who are watching the Oscars at home, or with friends, isn't it a great chance to take out that sequin tank top you saved for New Years and didn't wear?  The Oscars does wonders for the retail business nationwide, even if you cant actually go, you can indulge in the fun of the Awards.  Oh, and don't forget to bring your red carpet eye candy, why not?

Here's our tips for looking fabulous for your own red carpet appearance:

• comfortable jeans, designer type, black pants  or satin, skinny leggings, or anything you can mingle in, then sit in, for hours. 
• Fabulous hairstyle and some very red lipstick
• Festive Cocktail top with sparkling jewels or accessories. 
• High heels you don't need to walk in.
• An Oscar ballot from Online.
• Large bowl of popcorn or delicious snacks
• Something bubbly
• A handsome date or significant other
• Champagne or other bubbly beverage to toast your favorite wins!

Glamour Wars: The Season Heats up on the Red Carpet

With the awards season hitting its stride, two ladies at the ELLE STYLE AWARDS really heat up the Red Carpet.  Elegance, Style, Simplicity, are the best ideas here. Vintage, always a Stylistprivee favorite, while another gown that revealed its past with Hollywood details both worn by ladies who know the meaning of Fashion and have hit high notes for Hollywood style here.

SPRING TREND REPORT: Its all in the MIx

Yes, we've barely survived the pelting rains here in LA, and now that the streets are dry and the sun is out we're contemplating what to purchase for Spring.  There are some key trends that makes Spring Season something for everyone:

• Simple Chic and Minimalist
• Pastoral and Floral Country Style
• Military and Khaki "Out of Africa" 
• Prints, Prints, Prints
• Dare to be Bare

 As you can see, the modern women has an outfit for every occasion, from chic, to comfortable, to sporty, to sexy. That's a season we can get behind. What's your mix for the season?  Everyone always asks me, the the hemlines long, short, or in-between: If only it were that simple, back in the day, in simpler times, this was a question you could easily answer.  Now, my answer is, what makes you feel good? So, I suggest you stick with that, and you'll find what works for you.

Breakfast at Tiffanys: February 13th Aero Movie Theater in Santa Monica

Join Stylist Privee, and Pikke Allen, Stylist, for a special premiere of "Breakfast at Tiffanys" being hosted by the American Cinematheque.

Its a beautiful coincidence that they 're  showing our favorite movie in the annals of fashion!

 For those of you like me who adore this movie, not withstanding the Givenchy designs, its not easy to see this film on the silver screen and American Cinemateque, at the Aero Theater is treating us to this wonderful film.  A double feature with SABRINA, another Audrey Fan Favorite will also be featured.

The first showing is at 7:30 pm.
