GRAMMY's RED CARPET REPORT: THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE EGG
THE REPORT: Can we still be surprised?
From the entrance of LADY GAGA's egg and the sexy Kim Kardashian wearing the spin-off of James Bond's Gold Finger Girl, the fashion scene was really soup to nuts...yes, we mean nuts.
But, then, what would the Grammy's be without some moments where we wished the artists hadn't left their houses, but, when they did, it was either tragic or comic. Nicole Kidman, who was flawless at the Golden Globes, had a huge miss here at the Grammy's. We noticed that the dress had some technical problems and the color was a huge miss. We'll leave the gritty details to the FASHION POLICE and Joan, who won't mince words.
We can hardly wait, for that egg, to open.

RED CARPET REPORT: Best Dressed at SAG AWARDS
Oscar warm up event, the SAG AWARDS was just a dream, 15 years ago when we began styling, now, its huge popularity has given the talent a way to rehearse.
Our top picks for "Best Dressed" are true Winter Formals, many other dresses were a jump on spring, and, not appropriate for a Winter Red Carpet season.
Our top picks for "Best Dressed" are true Winter Formals, many other dresses were a jump on spring, and, not appropriate for a Winter Red Carpet season.
- Our top Picks, shown at right, are the epitome of Hollywood glamour, age appropriate, a touch of sexiness, and, beautiful workmanship in the gowns themselves. Simply, glamour, with a capital "H" for Hollywood.
- Lace, Lace, Lace, and beautiful Lace was a Winter favorite.
- Black, sexy lines, and beautiful shapes sculpted the figures
- Sheer Sexy reveal, with covered elegance that was untouchable
- Color pop, in Tina's dress was great for her coloring.
- Hair styles were simple, elegant, and gorgeous.
- Accessories did not overpower the looks, but added to glamour.
- A Sexy Italiaan note to "Classic Hollywood" in the Blue, "Sophia Lauren" look.
The Red Carpet gowns that didn't make the cut, were numerous, and showed that the carpet can have its pitfalls.

SHOES SHOES SHOES: will we ever get enough? Paris Spring Report 2011
Got shoes?
Just a reminder that the Spring Season is here, and, there will be shoes. Lots of them. Here's what we think the Spring Trends are, based on our "Preview" in Paris during the Spring collections:
- The new lower heel
- The "anti-logo shoe"
- The hand-crafted shoe
- The Red-Carpet Shoe
- The Killer Shoe
- The Return of "Sabrina"
- The Flat's Revival
- The Vintage Spin-Around
We didn't spot a dull shoe among them, so, those of you looking for comfort, better hold onto your "crocs" because this is not your mother's shoes....my dear!

GOLDEN GLOBES 2010: Where is Bjork when you Need Her?
The Golden Globes are always filled with predictions for fashion trends and lessons learned. With the "pre-quel" to the red carpet fashions of the Academy Awards, the trends of the day are on display from top to toe. Elegance, finally, has returned to the red carpet, but, for those of us who are longing for the large "DUCK" dress worn by Bjork or a comical outfit usually sported by Celine Dion, this year might be a bit on the dull side. But, wait, there's HELENA BONHAM CARTER, who never disappoints us! The trends we have seen that we can look forward to for the AWARDS SEASON...The good, the bad and the ugly....and, please don't tell us about our work out program....we're over it!
The not so good....
- Black, Black Black....Well, its a basic but why ? Its LA, and, 74 degrees.
- Fishtails...bit too much dress for our taste, too formal for an event like this
- Too many ruffles and fussy details, to overwhelm and under-achieve
- Dresses that are too "old" for young girls...why?
- Dresses that are too "young" for older women...oops.
- Cheesecake dresses...to much of everything....
- The dresses that wear....the wearer....
Best Trends:
- Elegance and Dressing up in LA....Start your engines
- Beautiful Accessories and handbags...rockin' the carpet!
- Strapless and simple, chic, and elegant. No fuss, no muss.
- Mystery and Elegance..
- Wearing Sleeves like you mean it!
- Amazing Jewels....that don't overdo...
Check us later for our pick of the photos and top 5 we think rocked it!

The Magical Forest of Hermes: Where the Ultimate Bag Lives
There it was, in full glory. No, not the bag, but, the fox, sitting silently next to the leather bag that cost the price of a small pied-a-terre in Paris. For those of you who are animal rights activists, best not to read on, and, I don't want to further upset you. But, as it stands, the window displays in the HERMES shop near the Champs Elysees were nothing short of spectacular, magical, and, yes, filled with furry creatures. Le Bois, or, the "Forest" is where many furry creatures live who end up becoming bags, shoes, coats, fur collars, and other such things that we humans have been wearing since time began. I will just say, that, as a rule, STYLIST PRIVEE is not about putting little soft furry animals into terrible circumstances where they might be hurt or injured. We are huge animal fans and love the FAUX and the REAL, mostly, the vintage kind. We were astonished by the full throttle magical displays, the unique and unusual, the extraordinary and the luxury. Traditionalists and Fashionistas can tell you that to own any piece by the great house of HERMES is beyond fashion. We are always interested in trends, and, certainly, we're all about finding the next BIG THING. But, HERMES is above it all. Quietly resting in the forest, waiting for someone to come along....and marvel.
